About the Role
Job Responsibilities:
Documents dental hygiene services by recording/updating medical and dental histories and charting in patient records.
Properly administer oral cancer screenings; clinical examination of overall oral condition, periodontal probing to locate, and assessment of all other manifestations of periodontal disease.
Ability to properly complete dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planing.
Taking and developing appropriate radiographs (digital)
Proper application of fluorides and other medicaments
Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions
Maintains instrumentation for treatment by sharpening and proper sterilization.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Requirements
Ohio Dental Hygiene License (Required)
Qualifications / Skills:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene required
Current state license required
Excellent verbal communication skills
Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
Current CPR certification required
